Who hasn't accidentally bought a kit at one exhibition or another that was missing parts or that was partly started? Such was the case with this 1:48 Minicraft Cessna 172... Throwing it in the bin... possible the financial loss being really minimal but in the end, the idea of representing this abandoned aircraft germinated. A few moments spent on line brought up numerous photos of this type of aircraft (of which more than 45,000 (!) have been built since 1955) in pitiful condition and, borrowing elements from several shots, led to the creation of this diorama of an abandoned, incomplete aircraft partially sheltered by an equally dilapidated barn in the Mid-West of the USA.
