 DEWOITINE 501

Kit Heller – 1:72, Ref. 156

This Heller kit is a good vintage model from 1977, for making the injection mould.

It allows you to make 2 versions of the plane: 500 & 501, with a set of decals of 2 decorations.

The kit is finely engraved in positive, and the decals are of good quality. The plastic is of good quality and easy to sand for adjustments.

The instructions are kept to a strict minimum, but given the simplicity of assembly, they should pose no difficulty.

The assembly presents 2 adjustment challenges that will require adjustment and a bit of putty:

  •   The upper engine cowling
  •   All parts of the lower radiator

As for the rest, particularly the landing gear, there are no particular problems. This kit should therefore be reserved for a non-beginner modeller.

In conclusion

The result is a beautiful aircraft with typical 1930s lines...
