Rafale F3-R

The Ultimate Reference Guide (Aviation Guide 1)

By John Lekkas & Ilias Gkonis, Eagle Aviation, 2024, ISBN 9786188516557

A beautiful full-colour publication in Italian-style paperback, this book details the most recent operational variant of Dassault's beautiful fighter, mainly through magnificent shots of Greek aircraft.

A short introduction presents this last variant and is illustrated with beautiful photos of the Rafale under the Croatian, Hindu, Qatari, Greek and, of course, French roundels. Most of the 80 pages are taken up with detailed photos of the entire aircraft, from the cockpit of the single-seater and two-seater to the depths of the nozzles, not forgetting the landing gear, the various protrusions visible on the airframe, the engines in their housings, the various payload options, and so on.

The photographs are of excellent quality, clear and sharp, and will be very useful to those wishing to update the various Rafale kits that are, at best, a few years old.

The text, often limited to short captions, is in English and French. The photos speak for themselves!

In conclusion

Well done to Eagle Aviation for this beautiful book, which makes you want to build a new Rafale!
